Mom and Dad, I love you! Uhm...I hope you are having a good time there. You did a good job of racing. We are having a fun time here. I hope you had a good time driving the race truck. I miss you so much and I can't wait to see you. Uhm...I like taking baths and that's all!

I know it is disappointing to have to drop out, but you all have done a wonderful job. This has been an experience of a lifetime that you will never forget. (Us folks back in Oregon won't either!) Just know that you gave it your best shot.
It was so exciting to read about your progress over the last three days. I was in tears several times over the reports and blogs. It is amazing that you made it more than 1100 miles in the toughest race on the planet. In the process you showed courage, strength, faith and love. It is character that counts when the race is run. What an exciting couple of days for us here at All Family Vision Care. We really were pulling for you and even had a map on the wall tracking your progress with a bright yellow highlighter all the way. It was hard to pay attention to our patients but they were just as thrilled as we were when we told them that Chris's hubby was in the most grueling desert race on the planet! I am so glad you all had the guts to do this, it's very inspiring to know that a bunch of 'regular Joes' and 'Josies', had the courage to go all the way!

I am so proud of you all!! It was so exciting to get minute by minute udates. Although I wasn't there, I felt alot. I had teachers and other co-workers jumping on the computer and logging on. Comments that people had a hard time expressing knowing where you all started and the challenge you took on and the many challenges along the way. They were in amazement. I have a janiter at one of the schools, who asked if I would take donations as his mother and sister both were afflicted with diabetes and is "close to home" for him. He is busy collecting money now. carla

What a ride! I am so proud of all of you. It has been such a great experience to follow your arduous quest and see you do it so well. Such fun to check the blogs throughout the day, to be part of your triumphs over adversity and your acceptance of the good and the bad that came your way. The Duhaldes, The Carrys and Grannie want to congratulate you on an amazing accomplishment. My sister(Dolly) and I would call eachother just to see if the other had read the latest on JTR. It was to much fun to follow along with your progress. Waking the boys up early in the morning so they can hear how the team had done throughout the night and where their dad is today! Thanks for putting this blog stuff together, like I said, it has been just to much fun!

Hi everyone, I've got text msg withdrawals this morning. After 55 hrs of constant information and interfacing with the race crews, todays quiet seems strangely quiet. It cant be over, can it???
