Johnny B here.... Wow. It was amazing to be up here in Seattle living our regular old lives, knowing what y'all were going through down south. These are memories that will last a lifetime and beyond.

Hi everyone, I've got text msg withdrawals this morning. After 55 hrs of constant information and interfacing with the race crews, todays quiet seems strangely quiet. It cant be over, can it???
Thats whats so great about racing, there's always tomorrow, another race course, another green flag another challenge.

Wow, I have been out of town most of the week and just was able to sit down and experience your trip all in one read. What a roller coaster. Rodney so sorry your adventure went way different than imagined. Wow Nikki!! Looking forward to you all being home and hearing first hand. To all involved with 302.
The Duhaldes, The Carrys and Grannie want to congratulate you on an amazing accomplishment. My sister(Dolly) and I would call eachother just to see if the other had read the latest on JTR. It was to much fun to follow along with your progress. Waking the boys up early in the morning so they can hear how the team had done throughout the night and where their dad is today! Thanks for putting this blog stuff together, like I said, it has been just to much fun!
I am a first time blogger, and I'm proud to admitt it! If my thoughts count the least, YOUR WINNERS IN MY BOOK, Isn't it called the "BAJA 1000"? Last time I checked they wern't calling it the "BAJA 1250"!!

What a ride! I am so proud of all of you. It has been such a great experience to follow your arduous quest and see you do it so well. Such fun to check the blogs throughout the day, to be part of your triumphs over adversity and your acceptance of the good and the bad that came your way. Am so disappointed for you to be so close to your goal and be forced to abandon the race. This can't detract from your well-deserved kudos for a great team effort, your never-say-die attitude and all your hard work and the hours you put in to make this dream a reality. A resounding hip, hip, hooray for the JTR Team.

Good job you guys! You all did an amazing job, and you really pulled together as a team! I think you've all learned lots about the other members of the team, and I'm so proud of how helpful and compassionate you guys were to each other! I am so proud of you all!! It was so exciting to get minute by minute udates. Although I wasn't there, I felt alot. I had teachers and other co-workers jumping on the computer and logging on. Comments that people had a hard time expressing knowing where you all started and the challenge you took on and the many challenges along the way. They were in amazement. I have a janiter at one of the schools, who asked if I would take donations as his mother and sister both were afflicted with diabetes and is "close to home" for him. He is busy collecting money now. carla

What an exciting couple of days for us here at All Family Vision Care. We really were pulling for you and even had a map on the wall tracking your progress with a bright yellow highlighter all the way. It was hard to pay attention to our patients but they were just as thrilled as we were when we told them that Chris's hubby was in the most grueling desert race on the planet! I am so glad you all had the guts to do this, it's very inspiring to know that a bunch of 'regular Joes' and 'Josies', had the courage to go all the way!
